Monday dawns again to a bright sunny day and an aching shoulder. Again. I’ve been back to my physical therapy exercises and they help for a while. I had a few days when both shoulders, my elbows and my hands ached. I have no idea why, but such is life and it impacts writing.
At least I haven’t fallen again, and I’m getting pretty skilled with my cane. I have worked out voice input for my word processor, and thus made at least a little progress on “Here and Now,” my Fenwick story, last week. Meanwhile, we did some promo for Moonlight Madness, which is out for pre-order (my little Harry the magic mouse story with it), so I’m not utterly useless.
While I haven’t written much about it, I am also struggling grief in its many manifestations–aches, exhaustion, sadness, loneliness, forgetfulness… I’m facing the fact that I can’t just push it aside. After 2.5 years, I’m trying to face it head on. I’ve joined a bereavement support group. The first session left me so exhausted I took a two hour nap when I was supposed to be at Belles’ Brunch.
Today my brother is flying to England, but he has a long layover at the Philadelphia airport. I’m taking regional rail down to have dinner with him in an hour or so. LIFE
At least the sun is shining. This week I should make serious progress on “Here and Now,” aches permitting. Perhaps I’ll get out a newsletter, but writing comes ahead of that. But first, coffee.
