On My Toes

Figuratively speaking, of course. I’m dancing among projects and Life as usual. The cane in the picture is more real. After falling (yes again–banged my knee) I decided I need to keep using it, if only to remind me to be careful. I forgot.

July dawns tomorrow with an excessive heat warning. 100+ two days this week, which is very unusual here in the urban wilds of eastern Pennsylvania. It’ll be a busy month too.

Tattered Honor goes live on July 21. I have not managed to get it up on the side menu on my website, or do very much promo, alas, but it is out there and will go live. Meanwhile I owe a reviewer the ARC for Book 5, Awakened Honor on July 28, and I’ve just begun the edit. Yikes! I expect to have the covers for the next four Honor at Heart books to show you in a couple of weeks. Books 5 and 6 will be out in the fall; 7 and 8 January and March. Books 9 and 10 are not reissues. They will be entirely knew.

Meanwhile Moonlight Madness, the Bluestocking Belles’ Autumn collection is coming together. Beta comments are due to authors on the first, and the authors have three weeks to edit and get the final copy in on July 21. Then the fun begins. I’m the project manager so my task then is to assembler the collection and format it for epub and pdf.

I submitted a title, contract, cover specs and summary for a new story that will become Book 6 in the Bluestocking Belles’ Forevers in Fenwick, our series of short novels set in an up and coming seaside town. The first four are all coming out this summer. I’m in the second wave. It was due July 1 but I got it in early. Whew.  The draft is due  . Creeping right up behind is the Bluestocking Belles’ 2027 Midsummer collection. First draft of a novella for that is due November 1.

As if all that wasn’t enough, I just got word I’ll be in one of Dragonblade Publishing’s collections next July. Story due? January. Yep. That makes Three stories for collections, A short novel for the Fenwick series, and three more Honor at Heart stories by the end of January.

As to life, I suspect many folks at church are on vacation because in July my assignments seem to have tripled.

So tap, tap, tap, tappity tap. But first, coffee.
