Tra La, it’s May, the, er…blessed month of May. My world has been exploding with birds, blossoms, and butterflies. I decided I was at the point I had to either move to one of those independent retirement apartments or hire help with the yard. I hired help.
Flowers have been planted, and the squirrels are trying to dig them up while the crows discovered the worms in the flower bed. The flowers are winning. The birds are trying to eat me out of house and home, but I have them on a strict fill-the-feeder-once-a-day diet.
It is, in short, altogether wonderful in my world, enough to make me dance and sing, “Praise the Lord for spring and resurrection.”
Meanwhile, Honor at Heart Books 1 and 2 have sold fairly well; Book 3 will go live two weeks from tomorrow; Book 4 is with some select beta readers—it should be up for pre-sale the first of June; and Book 5 has begun the editing process. I need to put that aside for a few weeks to get my story finished for the Bluestocking Belles fall collection.
But it’s May! I’d rather sit under a tree and read. Still, time to work, but first, coffee.
Ah, May, the month to start planning the Christmas novel.
