Oops is a word you don’t want to hear from a surgeon, a pilot, or an author when her newest book just came out. That was me last Tuesday, ready to celebrate the release of Tattered Honor. The new release had the correct cover, but the interior had Book 3, Inconvenient Honor, instead of Book 4. It was entirely my fault. I corrected it by uploading the correct file. Kindle Direct Publishing assured me that those who received the incorrect content would be automatically updated. It does not appear they were. Today were told the incorrect copies must be returned for a refund with which readers can buy a new copy (please do buy the new one!!). Yes, even ebooks.
This certainly took the wind out of my sails on match day and has damaged the review scores. I had to return 10 author copies for a refund and I just ordered 10 more. I should have them by, oh, August 8 to send to my prize winners. GRUMBLE.
But enough. Life, it goes on. I have a Fenwick book to write and licking my wounds won’t help. Now to figure out why WordPress won’t let me update the menu on the right. But first, Coffee

Please Please Please return any faulty book you received and ask for a new one. So far, the new ones are correct.
Dang. You’re human. Oops. I hate the mess for you especially with ratings on Amazon, etc. but it’s so nothing in the realm of real world. We love your books. Thank you for the time you spend writing for us who can only dream with your word pictures
Have you been able to download the correct book? As of tonight, it’s still downloading it incorrectly for me.
