I have company this week, and, if I’m not precisely resting, at least I’m taking a break from writing. A good friend has come to stay and we’ve been running around like loons. One day, Cape May and a hike at the Nature Conservancy, plus seafood dinner. One day, off to Boscov’s the last of the old time department stores where she can get a wide selection of petites and NO sales tax (unlike Ohio where she is from). One day folks from our virtual Bible Study group came over for pizza, Trivia, and much laughter. Today we are crashing. Thursday we’re off to the Hudson Valley for a driving trip to see gorgeous scenery and old mansions.
I haven’t been completely useless. I finished beta reading three stories for Merry Belles, the Bluestocking Belle’s 2025 Holiday Collection. I contacted a cover artist—the best in the business—who has agreed to do all ten books (8 old plus 2 new) for my Great Republishing Project. I’m hosting guests on this blog the next two Tuesdays so I have to get those posted.
I’ll be back here next week. Right now, I have laundry and packing to do. But first, coffee.
