The time change fell on us last weekend. Either I need to hit the ground early every day or learn to work in my office after dark. Why don’t I usually work in the evening? I have to close the blinds on the nine windows that surround me, and I miss the light and view of the yard. Can be done; not my preference. Besides, I have books to read.
Last week was a busy one. I flew back from Columbus on Sunday. I took the car out for a test drive Monday. I hadn’t driven in six weeks since The Big Fall. I drove around the block and, there being no problem, went on to the post office! Wednesday I had a promo event for Love’s Perilous Road and Friday we launched it into the wild with a party and prizes. I hope you were there. It was also Halloween and I spent the evening hoping for Trick-er-Treaters. Alas the village down the road is more fun. I got none. Saturday I ordered a new apartment washer/dryer for my first floor. Sunday I went to church twice: choir in the morning and a spaghetti dinner in the evening. I took a two hour nap in between; I still don’t have much stamina.
Whew! In the meantime I read through the first book to be adapted into Honor at Heart and found more picky edits than I expected. I finished all that and started on a new epilogue. I’m hoping to have Book 1 to beta readers by Sunday. It could happen. But first, Coffee.
