This morning I thought to do a final pass through the current Dangerous Weakness manuscript to look for extra spaces at the end or beginning of paragraphs. That may not sound like much because you can’t see them in word processing, but the make life difficult for folks who format the document for Kindle, print, etc.
One intends to zip along, but one can’t avoid the temptation to read and react. I keep finding small tweaks, little wording changes to reflect emotion more strongly or describe situations more vividly or . . .
I hope my editor can accept the changes quickly so we don’t have to do another round. Cringe.
Its a bit like gardening. The more weeds you pull, the more you see.
