Seasonal Decorations.  My pulse quickens as the holidays approach. It sparks my imagination. In my “real” world I play (work) with flowers and decorations weekly. One of my favorites for Thanksgiving is a ceramic rooster which I fill with dried flowers. My family hooted when they saw ‘his majesty’ poised in the middle of the table, but they grew to love him. I already prowl the yard looking for red berries and pine cones as Christmas approaches.

In Regency days, no Christmas tree had made an appearance, but they decorated with evergreen boughs and garlands. A favorite was a kissing ball created from greenery, berries, and mistletoe bound together with red ribbons. Since I live in a house where mistletoe isn’t a necessary hint, we skip, but greenery is welcome. Who doesn’t love the pungent spicy fragrance of pine boughs to create the seasonal mood while a petite bouquet of dried flowers accents a garland? I love pine bouquets with Christmas balls and red berries, so easy to arrange for a festive table.

It joins A Regency Christmas Collection I and A Regency Christmas Collection II, short romantic stories of happy ever after during the early 1800’s. Hope you enjoy them as much as I am pleased to write them. Happy holidays.

Four sisters, each named for a precious jewel, Pearl,Ruby, Emerald, and Amber, find their true destinies as each fall in love with a true mate and handsome hero.

Four sisters, left to fend for themselves when their father passes, manage one by one to fulfill their destiny and find their true loves. Four seasonal Christmas love stories.
