Want To Make Something Of It?

Guilt? I don’t have any guilt. {{Author hides in closet emptying a box of chocolates}} At least no more than most folks. This weeks writing prompt for the #MFRWAuthor blog hop is to list seven guilty pleasures. So I’ll crawl out of my closet and give this a try. No shame here.

  1. Candy Crush Saga. The amount of time one can waste is amazing.
  2. 1990s Regency romance novels wherever I can find them. I don’t care if the publishing world has moved on. I don’t care that their world didn’t really exist. Everyone has a fantasy.
  3. Potatoes, preferably fried.
  4. York peppermint patties from the shelf by the checkout line at the drug/grocery/convenience store. Every time. Have to have one.
  5. The second glass of red wine. One is good for you. Really. I read that on the Internet. But the second one, well, not so much.
  6. Video poker in Atlantic City. I play til my $20 is gone and then get up. So far, at least.
  7. Peanut butter directly from the jar. Yes that was me.

So do you want to make something of it? I don’t care. Pass me the wine.

  1. Ooh–I forgot about the slot machines! We’re driving distance to Las Vegas and we always to go to an off the strip resort called The Orleans. I love those machines, and yes, I’ve trained myself to walk away when I reach my limit. Have to minimize that guilty pleasure!

  2. I play Candy Crush too. it is very addictive and a huge time waster. It’s good for keeping me entertained when I’m waiting somewhere though.

  3. I gave up on candy crush ages ago. YEs, the amount of time I wasted was unreal. York peppermint patties I can relate to as well as the wine. It depends on the size of your second glass, right? I mean if it’s a small wine glass it might be similar to someone’s large single glass. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.

  4. LOVE York Peppermint Patties:) I agree; eat them with the 2nd glass of wine, lol!

I enjoy going to Buffalo Wild Wings and playing Lunchtime Trivia….they have an online version, but I’m afraid if I join, I’ll never get any work done. But if we go to BW3….prepare to be ignored until the break between games!
